We have arrived! After only a slight delay in Miami on the plane, I can say we have had a successful flying day. While waiting in immigration, we made quick contact with two of the groups with whom we will be sharing this adventure. Those bright white and blue backpacks were definitely a plus! We met our tour guide, Victor, with no problem at all and loaded up on the bus for the hour ride to our hotel. We are twenty-five in number, so many of the students are currently spread out relaxing on our tour bus...it is almost 2am back home, after all!
We get to sleep in a bit tomorrow, leaving at 9:00, for a tour of the old, colonial area of Ecuador and also a trip to the equator. Victor also indicated we may be able to eat guinea pig tomorrow, but more on that later. I will report on how many adventurous eaters we have!
